Kasiano Wadri is not pleased with the FDC leadership at Najjanankumbi who he claims refused to conduct party primaries ahead of the Arua elections.
Wadri defeated Nusura Tiperu of the NRM and Dr. Kizza Besigye and Patrick Amuriat backed FDC candidate Bruce Musema to replace slain Ibrahim Abiriga.
MP Wadri, sworn in Wednesday, said: “Technically am not a member of FDC. The decision to run as an independent hurt me a lot. FDC refused to allow us to run primaries. If I didn’t run as an independent, NRM would have taken the seat.”
The MP advised: FDC needs to reflect on its action and see how it mends fences with the people of Arua Municipality.
