Kampala Minister, Beti Kamya is worried sick. She says she is living in fear of being killed after her name appeared on an anonymous hit list of the people that assailants say they want dead and gone.

The hit list that made rounds on social media recently features several government officials; a thing that has left Kamya , a God fearing and prayerful person (as she claims to be) trembling.

“I saw the list on which I am among the people to be killed and I am bothered by the leaflet since there are many murders in Kampala nowadays,” Kamya told our reporter at her office on Thursday morning.

“I do not fear death but that does not mean we should not take precautions. But let them give me reasons why they are listing me on the death targets. If there is something wrong that I am doing or if I upset someone, I am ready to correct it,” she said.

On the other hand, when asked whether she regrets joining government, the former opposition die-hard, who recently joined President Yoweri Museveni’s government, as a senior minister in charge of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), noted that she  does not in any way  regret ever joining the NRM government.
