Police in Kampala has in custody, two youths, identified as Robert Mayanja and Augustine Ojobile for storming the Central Police Station with pig heads, two weeks after unidentified protesters dumped two piglets at the main gate of Bank of Uganda bearing the name of Juma Kisaame, the outgoing Director DFCU bank.

The duo stormed the CPS Kampala at around 1 pm with fresh pig heads tied around their necks and blood stained shirts. They wore tags written on “DFCU Pig Corrupt Kisaame”.

They told police that they were protesting the rot in Bank of Uganda that has led to the closure of several commercial banks in the country since 1993 and leaving many employees jobless.

They added that they had stormed the police station in response to summons by the Police Spokesperson to investigate the masterminds of pig protests in the city.

Police had noted yet commented as none of the police spokespersons could be reached by the time of filing this story.

Addressing journalists shortly after the arrest of the duo, City lawyer, Isaac Ssemakadde said Police is under trial with this kind of protest, further explaining that his clients have many piglets from many people who are willing to protest the rot in BoU.
