16-time league champions, SC Villa have appointed Douglas Bamweyana as the new head coach to replace Moses Basena who resigned last week.


Bamweyana who has been jobless following his resignation at Express FC in November 2017, will be assisted by Simon Peter Mugerwa and Sam Timbe.

Sam Timbe has been without a job after the sack from Kenya Premier league giants, Tusker FC in April, comes in as the technical director.

Simon Mugerwa will be in charge of the youths structure. He guided Buddo SS to the Copa Coca Cola championship title and also led Buddu to recently concluded Masaza Cup finals.

The trio find SC Villa as the only club without a win this season having managed 4 draws and lost the other 4 matches, lying 14th on the log of 16.

SC Villa visit Mbarara-based side, Nyamityobora FC this Friday, November 30.
