To be honest with ourselves, no body thought that reigning Miss Uganda 2018 Quiin Abenakyo could come this far in the just concluded Miss World pageant held in Sanya China.

Not only did the beautiful humble lady from Busoga break history by becoming the first Ugandan to be in the top five finalists at the prestigious competition  but she managed to crown the day by being named Miss World Africa.

Going by the history of the competition,Uganda shouldn’t have been more proud of the great performance put up by Abenakyo but some online patriots felt that the reigning Miss Uganda could have done better if government hadn’t implemented OTT tax.

It sounds cynical but when you look at it at close range you begin to imagine how many potential votes were missed to put Uganda at close range with competitors who probably don’t have the same social media problems in their countries.
