Nebbi Resident District Commissioner (RDC), William Bob Labeja has put a ban on night discos in the district until bar owners make an effort to protect their workers from dissatisfied,and sometimes drunk, party animals.
The directive follows an ugly incident on Wednesday night when angry revelers killed a DeeJay at one of the disco halls in the district.
As a German Proverb says that Fire in the heart sends smoke into the head, the revelers let smoke cloud up their thinking when they ganged up and beat to death Jerry Okirwoth, a senior three student at Parombo Secondary School was working as a part-time DJ at the club for “wasting their money” and time by playing them very boring music and turning down their song requests.
