Fufa disciplinary committee have handed handed financial fines of 2m shillings each to coaches; Mike Mutebi of KCCA FC, Sam Simbwa (URA FC) and Fred Kajoba (Bright FC) for bringing the game into disrepute.
In addition, Simbwa and Mutebi have been banned for 4 matches each. Mutebi’s matter forwarded to FUFA Match Integrity Committee.
Sam Simbwa made tribal related comments during the post match press conference in Jinja after Kirinya Jinja SS FC v URAFC match.
KCCA FC head coach, Mike Mutebi alleged that before former KCCA Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi came to KCCA, the club had a budget for buying matches.
He further stated that all the titles that have been won in Ugandan top football league in the last twenty years had been fixed’
Bright Stars FC head coach and his technical bench officials entered the field of play in the 76th minute after a penalty was awarded to Tooro United FC. The match stopped for 2 minutes.
