Uganda Cup record winners, Express FC have qualified for quarter-finals after defeating Police FC 4-1 on penalties following a goalless draw this evening at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
Express FC who share record with KCCA FC (both with 10 Uganda Cup titles) have a chance to extend the record to 11 this season after the ‘Kasasiro boys’ crashed out in Round of 32 at the hands of Tooro United.
In related development, Mwererwe-based side, Bright Starts knocked out URA FC and stormed Uganda Up quarter-finals after 2-1 win at Mandela National Stadium – Namboole this evening.
Karisa Jamil scored a brace for Bright Stars in 18 and 46th minute while Shafik Kagimu scored a consolation for the tax collectors in 75th minute.
