Express FC 1-1 Maroons

Tony Odur came from the bench to save Express FC from shame at Wankulukuku Stadium, after Maroons looked like they are headed for a big win.

George Ssemwogerere saw his side concede in the 57the minute through Solomon Walusimbi.

Ssimu was forced to add another striker to his ranks after bringing on Odur for Kayiwa in the 51st minute. The Express tactician did not wait for the visitors’ celebrations to end when he threw in Brian Umony in for Mubarak Nsubuga.

Express FC had some rare opportunities in the opposition half but the closest came to the legs of Tumwesigye Zaga and Disan Galiwango who did not make good use of them.

Ssimu made his final change by throwing in Joel Male in the 80th minute for Galiwango. The changes mainly in attack helped the home side press the visitors and their efforts were rewarded when Umony was brought down in the box in the 83rd minute.

Odur took charge of the penalty and slotted it home to cause untold excitement among the fans who were charged and cherring through out the entire game.

The point helps Express FC move above Bright Stars who still have a game in hand.
