Dates for Tokyo 2020 Olympics Women Football African Zone preliminary qualifier match between the Crested Cranes and Ethiopia have been confirmed.

According to the fixtures released from the Head-Qualifier and International match official for world football governing body FIFA Gordon Savic, the first leg will be played in Ethiopia in Addis Ababa National Stadium on 3rd April 2019 at 16:00hrs.

Match officials from Egypt will handle the 1st Leg and are; Saad Ali Shahenda will be in the center assisted by Hassan Hanady and Ahmed Shibl as the 1st and 2nd assistants respectively.

The 2nd leg is set to take place in Kampala on 6th April 2019 at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo and officials for the return match have bene named. They are;

Umutoni Aline from Rwanda will be the center referee. Murangwa Sandrine and Umutesi Alice will be the assistants.

This is the first Olympics qualifier engagement for the Crested Cranes in the history of Uganda Women Football.

Crested Cranes defeated Ethiopia 2-1 in their last meeting during the 2018 CECAFA Women Challenge Cup in Kigali, Rwanda.
