KCCA FC 3-1 Express FC

Express FC had an afternoon to forget allowing city rivals KCCA FC to lift themselves with three thumping goals after conceding early on in the game through John Revita penalty.

With Vipers SC collapsing at the hands of URA FC at St Mary’s on Friday afternoon, KCCA FC’s convincing victory over their rivals surely handed them the trophy.

Revita score from the spot as early as 13 minutes to stun the Star Times Stadium. It appeared it was going to be one of those nights. The Lugogo outfit wasn’t prepared to wait for another game to conclude their mission.

Mike Mutebi after shouting his voice hoarse with Lawrence Bukenya who wasn’t calming things down allow the opposition to pounce on their defence, rushed Sadam Juma to instill some confidence in the 36th minute.

The only meaningful attempt from the hosts came off Jackson Nunda who saw his shot fly over the bar and Allan Kyambadde’s penalty claim.

Fast-rising left back Mustafa Kizza then ensured his team did not conclude the first half empty with a whipping goal to his name in the 45th minute.

KCCA FC then returned strong pressing Express FC with their midfield weapon of Sadam Juma, Allan Kyambadde, Jackson Nunda, Allan Okello and Mutyaba Muzamilu.

Kyambadde then took it upon himself to bring down the Star Times Stadium roof by producing an individual masterpiece to nail home KCCA FC’s second in the 76th minute.

Muzamilu Mutyaba too did not allow Kyambadde to take the shouting all to himself by producing an excellent goal to silence Express FC noisy supporters who poured in their myriads to cheer their team.

The result leaves Express fighting for their lives as the relegation battle may not spare them.
