Cristiano Ronaldo quashed any suggestions he could leave Juventus this summer as the Portuguese striker confirmed he will ‘1,000 per cent’ still be in Italy next season.

Ronaldo lifted his first Serie A title since swapping Real Madrid for Juventus last summer and he is determined to help the Italian champions in the Champions League next year.

A youthful Ajax side stunned Ronaldo and Co in Turin last week to knock them out of Europe at the quarter-final stages and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is focused on righting the wrongs of this campaign.

‘It was a year of adaptation and it was a very good one,’ Ronaldo told Sky Sport Italia after victory over Fiorentina sealed the club’s eighth successive Scudetto.

‘I feel happiness and joy because this team deserved to win the title because we were the best team this season.

‘You can’t always win, we tried everything we could but only one team can win the Champions League.
