U.S Embassy Kampala has issued a strong statement in regards to Uganda police blocking singer Bobi Wine’s concerts in line with human rights.

According to the statement, the Embassy demands to know why the government has always blocked not only Bobi’s musical business but also closing down radio stations that have in recent hosted Dr. Kiiza Besigye.

” Today we join the many Ugandans asking why their government has recently blocked musical concerts and radio talk shows, disrupted peaceful demonstrations and rallies. and deployed heavy-handed security forces against citizens”, the statement partly reads.

Meanwhile, as we report this Bobi Wine is currently still under house arrest since yesterday. The people Power cult hero had planned to hold a mega peaceful demonstration today but his move was frozen by heavy deployment around his crib in Magere.

“My home is under siege. They have surrounded my fence and installed barricades on all roads leading to my home. It is today when I attempted to move out of my home that the police told me that I am under house arrest. I was headed to Police headquarters in Naguru to deliver a notification about our planned peaceful demonstrations against police brutality, injustice and misuse of authority.”, he posted on his Facebook.
