Ndejje University 1-1 KCCA FC

It looked like Ndejje University had pulled off a massive shock and set to halt title giveaway to KCCA FC after going a goal in the first half but Sadam Juma a super sub came off the bench to dash the hopes of Vipers SC by striking home a stunning leveller.

KCCA FC have now closed the gap in the title numbers between themselves and SC Villa who last won the championship in 2003, to only three.

Ndejje University shocked Mike Mutebi’s KCCA FC through Anwaru Ntege in the 22nd minute.

KCCA FC could have gone up ahead of Ndejje University but Allan Kyambadde who beat the entire hosts’ defense back line short wide after being put through by vibrant Nicholas Kasozi.

Anwaru outjumped KCCA FC defence to miscalculate his header in the 17th minute.

The visitors were rampant in the Ndejje University goal area as they searched for a point to takw the game home.

Kyambadde danced his way in the box to slide the ball into Kaddu’s path however, Ndejje centre back Hamim Semakula had his eyes on the ball to kick it away from danger.

Then the moment of truth, joy and light arrived when super sub Sadam Juma who replaced Jackson Nunda in the 47th minute left Derrick Emukule choiceless with a cracking leveller in the 61st minute.

Sadam’s strike ignited celebrations and singing among the travelling KCCA FC fans who knew they had it all in their bag after securing the only point to beat defending champions Vipers SC to the title.
