You must have heard some people say most Pentecostal churches are mainly for business these days, this is why the pastors of these churches have lots of money, expensive property scattered throughout the country.
Well, today, we bring you the richest ‘men of God’ in the country as of 2019 and their main sources of income.
Prophet Samuel Kakande
There’s no doubt, Prophet Kakande of Synagogue Church of All Nations is probably the richest pastor in Uganda at the moment with an estimated networth of 900million US Dollars. None else comes close.
From driving the latest version of Jeeps and all other posh car brands, Prophet Kakande is into farming(with huge acres of rice and maize and herds of cattle) as well as the mining business from sand to gold ,diamond, to mention but a few.
He also has plans to construct the largest and most modern church in Africa with a seating capacity of over 50,000.
When it comes to property, he owns two posh mansions; one located at Muyenga Hill valued at Shs3 billion and another in Ggaba valued at Shs2 billion.
Pastor Joseph Sserwadda
Pastor Joseph Sserwadda of Victory Church Ndeeba is worth being rated second. His estimated net worth is at 800 million US Dollars . He is also heavily into trade.
Pastor Robert Kayanja
Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Cathedral , with an estimated networth $700 million not only owns a number of arcades in the country , he is also an importer of various products asides from owning big plots of land around lake Victoria. He owns a big mansion that is seated on three acres of land on the shores of Lake Victoria in Kawuku Bunga and another one in Ntinda.
He is also the brain behind Kapeeka Orphanage and Primary School. He has a television station known as Miracle TV Channel 44.
‘Pastor’ Samuel Kakande once took it a step higher by landing his miracle ride, a 2017 customized Lexus LX 570, thanks to the proceeds from the sale of hisa ‘miracle rice’. The car cost him Shs600million.
Pastor Aloysious Bujingo
Although rumor has it that he previously worked as a hides vendor in Kampala, Pastor Bugingo is the owner of House of Prayer Ministries. He owns a million dollar piece of land in Makerere where his Church sits. He also owns a very successful media enterprise; Salt TV and Salt FM which give him clean money. He’s estimated Networth is at $200 million. He’s also been involved in scandals ,with his wife, that are said to have increased his following and profits from his ministries
Prophet Elvis Mbonye
Prophet Elvis Mbonye owns the most expensive fleet of range rovers. He’s made a fortune from his church with an estimated Networth of about $100 million. Currently, young corporate girls carry dollars just to donate to his church.
He also has a number of plots of land in his names. He has property in Mutungo and many suburbs of Uganda. He is also said to have previously been a hides vendor in Kisoro. ccording to sources, he and pastor Bugingo were best friends who had chosen to venture in Hides and Skin business. It was a business they did for a living, but sources say they later released it was taking them nowhere in the near future , so they sat and came up with a plan to become Men of God.
He also has links in the government that helped him access some finances. It took Mboye a few years to get established. He stayed in Kisoro but also relocated two years later and started a church in Kitintale where he currently owns huge chunks of land.
His colleague, Bugingo relocated first to Kampala. He came with a number of followers who were both from Kisoro and Rwanda but stationed in Kampala. This made his work easy and he started up a church first around Kampala road and later Bat valley.
Pastor Jackson Senyonga
Pastor Jackson Senyonga is the founder and owner of Christian Life Church Ministries in Bwaise.
He couldn’t miss on the list of the richest pastors in the country since he has made a big fortune in ministering. He owns a number of lucrative assets including Top Television, Top Radio station, real estates among others with an estimated Networth of about $50 million.
