Reports in Italy suggest Guardiola will be unveiled as manager next month but Premier League champions have laughed off the speculation surrounding their boss.

MANCHESTER CITY are ridiculing claims in Italy that Pep Guardiola is on the verge of being named Juventus manager.

Man City believe reports linking Pep Guardiola with Juventus are so ludicrous they do not want to comment on them

Juve are on the look-out for a new boss with Maz Allegri leaving the Serie A champions at the end of the season.

And there have been a series of reports in Italy that City boss Guardiola, 48, has agreed to take over and even naming June 14 as the date he will be unveiled.

But the Premier League champions are so relaxed about the situation they will not even dignify the rumours with a denial.

SunSport understands the view at the Etihad is that the claims are so ludicrous it is not worth their effort to deny them.

Guardiola was linked with the Juventus job earlier this year, and he denied he was interested in the role back then.

And on the eve of the FA Cup final against Watford the former Barca boss insisted he was going nowhere and will remain at the helm in Manchester for a while yet.

He insists he has unfinished business with the club, and will not be viewed a success unless he has guided them to the Champions League title.

Guardiola said: “We will be judged at the end on whether we win the Champions League.

“Unless we do that it will not be enough. This comes with me, I know that.
