Today at Sheraton hotel, former footballers under GK foundation sat and expressed their anger on the status of football in country today and most notably Dan Walusimbi.

Former players who included Sula Kato, Gibby Kalule, Jimmy Sekandi, Dan Ntale who played for Villa in the late 90’s, Isa Sekatawa who is known as the golden boy in the football circles as well as the man himself Dan Walusimbi.

Dan Walusimbi has refered to himself as the legitimate FUFA president says, “Action without strategy is the last noise before defeat” meaning he has been silent and people thought he was compromised.

Dan Walusimbi says that they are here to fight for the justice that football deserves.

Walusimbi goes further to talk about the World Cup ticket saga, that it is just a symptom of poor football administration in Uganda but the major problem is that the legitimate FUFA president is out of office and the wrong leadership is in office being termed as Scoreline investments.

Dan Walusimbi has said that they petitioned to parliament on 19th August and they are waiting on when to be summoned under the COSACE  committe chaired by Kawempe South member of Parliament Mubarak Munyagwa.

Another member of the former footballers who expressed his anger has been Jibby Kalule who has accused the FUFA CEO Edgar Watson Ssuubi for personalising the national team that he gets money from parents of the kids who belong to his academy called Edgar Youth Program to use them whenever the national team is engaged in international games.
