Musa Esenu scored a first hattrick to ensure Bul Fc secure a comfortable 3-0 victory over Mbarara City in a game played at Bugembe stadium.

The encounter was the first game played at the Kyabazinga stadium which will serve as Bul’s home ground for the rest of the season.

Esenu was on target in the 26th, 34th and 45th minutes to aggravate Mbarara City’s woes under coach Paul Nkata ‘The Latest’.

The former KCCA and Vipers striker was unmarked when he reached home perfectly from a Robert Mukongotya corner kick after 26 minutes.

Mukongotya was the provider once again for Esenu who caught the Mbarara defense flat footed to beat Ikara again eight minutes later.

Esenu completed his hatrick from another Mukongotya assist to take his season tally to six goals just before the half time break.

Mbarara City are winless in the last six games with their last victory dating back on 1st October against Busoga United which was Nkata’s first match in charge.

Since then, Nkata and Mbarara City have lost four games while the other two have been goalless draws with URA and Bright Stars.

The Ankole Lions are hovering above the relegation line with only 10 points from as many matches.

Bul maintain their second place on the table with 27 points, three behind leaders Vipers Sports Club.

Bul will visit SC Villa in their next game while Mbarara City will host Onduparaka at Kakyeka stadium next week.
