Proline meet Bright stars at Startimes Stadium Lugogo in what will be a repeat of Uganda Cup final.

Proline won the encounter on May 25th, 2019 played at Masaka Recreation Ground.

The side needed a late Mustafa Mujuzi penalty to send the game to extra time after Nelson Ssenkatuka had given Brightstars a 47th minute lead.

Bright stars who had Aggrey Kirya sent off by referee Ali Sabira, lost 5-4 in shootouts with Ssenkatuka’s penalty saved by keeper Hassan Matovu.

Mustafa Mujuzi, Ivan Bogere, Hakim Kiwanuka, Allan Egaku and Bright Anukani scoring their penalties.

Jjungu Methodius, Rajab Kakooza, Farouk Katongole and Samuel Ssekitto had scored from the spot for Bright Stars.

Much has changed since, Proline are now under coach Matia Lule after the departure of Shafic Bisaso while Mohammed Kisekka replaced coach Fred Kajoba at Bright Stars.

The encounter today is an early relegation battle as Proline who are rock bottom play host to Bright Stars in 14th position with 10 points.

The hosts Proline played to a one-all stalemate against Tooro United in their previous encounter thanks to James Begisa’s second half strike, as they registered their first points tally of the season.

Coming into this encounter, Bright Stars succumbed to Derrick Ndahiro’s sole goal, as they lost 1-0 to 16-time league champions Sports Club Villa.
