Mbarara City Fc will be searching for their first ever win in Jinja, having drawn one and lost four of their five duels in the Eastern town. Ironically the Ankole Lions have lost all their two away games against Busoga United.

Coach Brian Ssenyondo, who has won seven of hi eight home games since joining Mbarara City in June is yet to register an away win with the Ankoke Lions and thus victory against Busoga United will be a great milestone for him.

Nevertheless Ssenyondo is doing well since his return, having won four of his five games since November.

Goalkeeper Tom Ikara is expected to start for Mbarara City against his former side Busoga United. If given chance, Busoga United goalie Ali Kimera will also be facing his former side.

Busoga United has won their opening two games in the second round while Mbarara City, comes into this fixture, in a back of a resounding 1-0 win over Wakiso Giants on Wednesday.

Striker Aheebwa Brian, who netted a priceless winner against Wakiso Giants will be searching for his 26th goal in all competitions for Mbarara City and this will be enough to equal Mbarara City’s all time record goal scorer Paul Mucureezi.

A win will lift Mbarara City to 7th position, with 25 points. Busoga United currently has 24 points.
