Busiro South Member of Parliament Peter Sematimba is one of the candidates awaiting his 2019 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education-UACE results being released on the 27th of February 2020.

The clean American accent Mp sat for the first time his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) at Kakoola High School in Ziroobwe sub-county, Luweero district in November last year.

Sematimba has been studying Divinity, Literature, Fine Art and a subsidiary of Computer.

Sematimba says he was compelled to go to school due to pressure from mainly political opponents who he claims didn’t understand his American academic documents.

He says he has for long been trying to show people that his papers from the US equate to a UACE certificate which is the minimum qualification for a Member of parliament in Uganda.

In 2016 Democratic Party candidate Stephen Sekigozi took him to court over the authenticity of his academic papers leading to the loss of his parliamentary seat.

The legislator, however, hit back when he appealed the ruling in 2017 through his lawyers. The Court of Appeal endorsed his election, saying his academic papers were adequate.
