Uganda Cranes had it easy against little known Sao Tome and Principe at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Uganda Cranes are preparing the team under new boss Sebastien Desabre ahead of African Cup qualifiers later this year.

Cranes were on top the game for the better part of the day registering two goals in the first part of the game.

Zambia based left winger Joseph Benson Ochaya put the Cranes ahead in the 20th minute.

Then Murushid powered home Ochaya’s corner kick to give Cranes their second of the night in the additional minutes by the referee.

Cranes returned in the second with Desabre sounding changes in the 56th minute by bringing on Yunus Ssentamu to replace Tanzania based Emma Okwi.
Then in the 58th minute the Frenchman called on Abraham Ndugwa to replace Kizito Luwaga.

Not much came out of the changes and Desabre was forced to make double substitution in the 70th minute.

He pulled off Baba Kizito and then handed CHAN debutante Tadeo Lwanga a run.
Godfrey Walusimbi made way for Alex Kakuba as well.

The changes saw the Cranes press the away team and gifted with a debut goal for Masavu captain Ndugwa who scored in the 82nd minute.

Denis Onyango did not leave the pitch untested. Sao Tome and Principe stunned the Cranes with a 90th minute consolation goal through Jose Varela.
Cranes will play Malawi on Tuesday in their second friendly of the international break.
