When Winnie Nwagi recently switched from folk ballads to Dancehall music, not many of her fans appreciated the move. The bodily blessed Diva came to fame after emerging second in The Coca-Cola Rated Next talent search, and was received warmly with her first hit single, “Embeera” which laid a pedestal for her to release more hits like Kibulamu, Magic, Kano kozze among other band ballads.

Like stated above, her(or maybe her management’s) recent desire to do Dancehall music led to a disconnect between her and her fan base, as many of them couldn’t fathom her style in songs like “Fire Dancer” which featured Nigerian singer Slim Prince. Many of them further showed concern that her wardrobe had changed for the worse.

“We do not know her this way. She is good at singing sweet love songs; definitely not the Ragga muffin type like Sheebah. Also, she is a thick woman who can’t fit well in skimpy outfits.” Sonia, a Winnie diehard commented.

Well, Sonia and all other Winnie Nwagi fans, your prayers have been answered. Your thick lady is back with “Bunsonsomola”, a song produced by The Late Danz Ku Mapeesa – I also don’t know why they kept it for this long – and in it, she praises her man for giving her tingling love. The video for the song should also be out soon, according to sources from Swangz Avenue.

And oh, she recently reposted a clip of herself with Vinka, from the latter’s Instagram. Obviously with this, the rumoured bad blood between the two Swangz Divas has been rendered untrue.
