President Yoweri Museveni was pictured in jovial mood while being slipped into a traditional Ashanti wear from Buganda King Ronald Mutebi’s Jubileewo guest King Asantehene Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II at State House in Entebbe Wednesday.

King Nana Osei Tutu II jetted into the country to help his royal friend Kabaka Mutebi celebrate his 25th coronation anniversary, Tuesday at his Lubiri Palace.

President Museveni received the royal pair at State House after Tuesday’s festivities with the Ashanti King carrying along a gift of a traditional attire.

The Ashanti King was pictured aiding the President slip into the kitenge like outfit with the presence of Buganda King.

Kabaka Mutebi who donned a black with a traditional kanzu was accompanied to State House by Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga and his young brother Prince Daudi Kintu Wasajja.

President welcomed the royal pair and said: “As governments are busy focusing on roads and other such infrastructure developments, cultural leaders play the important role of preserving customs and the identities of the people. I welcome the Ashanti King to Uganda and wish him a fruitful stay here.”

President Museveni said: “Ashanti King, Asantehene Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, and Kabaka Muwenda Mutebi paid a courtesy call on me at State House Entebbe. I congratulate Kabaka Mutebi on his 25th coronation anniversary where Asantehene was a special guest.”
