Diamond Platnumz is East Africa’s biggest musical export as per now, and the Tanzanian golden boy is representing us so far so well. The Wasafi Boss is on tour for his “A Boy From Tandale” Album, and he has held successful shows in the UK and USA.

Naturally you would wonder why someone who has made it in such big countries, far away from Africa, would be intimidated by a country like Madagascar, which is actually close to his home country Tanzania. Well, in those countries he did night clubs and relatively small indoor venues, but a stadium awaited him in Madagascar; a country where they don’t speak Swahili and neither do they speak English – he was scared if they really knew his music.
To his pleasant surprise though, the stadium was packed to capacity, and the crowds sang along to his Swahili lyrics – how sweet!
