Dr. Kizza Besigye was dragged into the ongoing battle for places in FDC after party chief Patrick Oboi Amuriat fired top leaders in reshuffle in Parliament leadership.

Amuriat moved to strip Winnie Kiiza of the Leader of Opposition role in Parliament and replaced her with Gulu woman MP Betty Aol Ochan.

Dr. Besigye in an interview with NTV, distanced himself from the changes enforced by Amuriat who he openly supported in the party Presidential election.

The FDC founder said: “I am not in charge if FDC but I served for first seven years and stepped down.”

He added: “There is absolutely no way I can still be talked of as controlling.”
