Tanzanian musicians have always had a big influence on Uganda’s industry ever since the start of this millennium. The likes of Professor Jay, Juma Nature, Dudu Baya, Bushoke and Lady Jay Dee enjoyed airplay in Uganda for so long, and now Ali Kiba, Diamond Platnumz and his Wasafi Crew are flossing. Young Tanzanian rapper Dogo Janja – who happens to share manager Babu Tale with Diamond Platnumz – somehow found his way into Sheilah Gashumba’s playlist.
