Cranes fans were taken aback when number one goalkeeper had a terrible collision while turning out for his club Mamelodi Sundowns.
Onyango sustained the injury during Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 away victory over Polokwane City at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The South Africa based goalkeeper, however, took to his social media accounts to allay fears back home.
He posted: “Feeling much better after the collision last night, thank u for ur prayers and support in the difficult times.”
Uganda Cranes have a qualifier against Tanzania coming up next month and the last thing you would want to hear is injury to team captain Onyango.
