President Yoweri Museveni is joining political party heavy weights in Arua Monday as the battle to replace slain Ibrahim Abiriga gets to the boiling point.
The Arua Municipality seat fell vacant after Abiriga was gunned down in June near his residence in Kawempe, Kampala.

Arua Municipality seat has attracted twelve candidates from across the political divide.
However, the most noise is coming from the FDC camp where two candidates have split the party hierarchy battling NRM.

FDC has Kasiano Wadri who independent leaning while Bruce Musema is the official candidate.

Dr. Kizza Besigye who is in Arua is campaigning for the Musema while Gen. Mugisha Muntu and Bobi Wine are behind Wadri.

President Museveni is expected in the West Nile city of Arua Monday to comb the suburbs for votes for the NRM candidate Nusura Tiperu.
