Government has confirmed that Bobi Wine had a gun at the time of his arrest in Arua on Tuesday morning.

Bobi Wine and other MPs; Francis Zaake, Gerald Karuhanga, Mike Mabike and Paul Mwiru were reported to have disrupted the President Yoweri Museveni’s convoy, one of his vehicles stoned.

Gen. Moses Ali, deputy government business leader revealed that the Kyadondo East MP was found with a gun at the time of his arrest.

He said: “Hon. Kyagulanyi is in Gulu for medical attention. He was found with a gun and will appear in court tomorrow in Gulu. Others will appear in magistrate court.”

On his health, Moses Ali revealed: “Hon Kyagulanyi has been flown to Gulu Hospital but he is now okay, he was found with a gun and he will appear before the court martial in Gulu.”

On the other MPs, he said: “They will appear before the chief magistrate tomorrow in Gulu. The total number of those arrested is 33.”

Moses Ali on torture, said: “The story of torture is not true, there is no torture at Gulu central police station cell, the MPs are accessible through their relatives and lawyers.”
