Gen. Kale Kayihura is a free man after presenting a strong line up of sureties before Army General Court Martial at Military detention in Makindye.
Gen. Kayihura was charged for failing to protect war materials and aiding and abetting kidnapping of Rwandan nationals in Uganda.

The former police chief through his lawyer Peter Kabatsi presented three sureties who include; Three sureties are MP Rosemary Tumusime (Entebbe municipality) who is a cousin, Maj Gen. James Mugira and Maj Gen. Samuel Kavuma (deputy commander land forces).

Kabatsi on Gen. Kayihura’s bail, explained: “The applicant (for bail) has never been charged with any offence in any court of law in this country and by all accounts, he is a very law abiding citizen.”
However, the Prosecutor asked Court Martial who have gone for an hour break, to put stringent bail terms on the former police chief.
