Minister without Portfolio Hajji Abdu Nadduli has warned President Yoweri Museveni opposition to his government is within.
Naduli was responding to the current wave of torture of journalists and politicians that spark off the election chaos in Arua.
The minister claims there is anger within the population about the ongoing activities of the security forces, which have resulted in arrests of MPs; Robert Kyagulanyi, Paul Mwiru, Gerald Karuhanga and Kasiano Wadri.
Naduli told media in Parliament: “Museveni’s real enemies are in government, not the opposition. Current attacks on MPs and journalists is bad for government.”
He revealed: “Attacks on journalists are intended to cause anger, there are elements within the security forces that want the population to turn against the government.”
