Security have unearthed that young people and the media are being funded to paint a bad image of the government.

Arua, Mityana, Jinja, Gulu and Kampala have been awash with youth demonstrating over the arrest and beating of MPs by security in Arua after the by-election chaos.

Gen. Elly Tumwine, the minister of security in an interview with NBS TV, revealed that intelligence links the current demonstrations to the activities of bad people internally and abroad.

Gen. Twumwine narrated: “Enemies pay the media to present Uganda’s bad image
and on a strategy, with people. By the way most of these messages you receive on Whatsapp. We have analyzed are from abroad from people who are comfortable.”

He goes on: “A god number of them from bad people in Kenya, who are even demonstrating in Kenya when they have enough problems to demonstrate. which they could have dealt with there.”

Gen. Tumwine explained: “Most of these are disrupting you who are. There are enough good young people here. We have information they target you, young people. The media, they pay you in the media.”

The minister revealed: “We have evidence they pay the media to present Uganda’s bad image for whoever’s interest. Not Uganda’s interest!”
