Government has warned Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) he is swimming in hot waters in response to his international news conference in US capital, Washington.
Bobi Wine is in the US for specialized treatment after he was reportedly tortured in Arua during the by-election.
Government took a firm position dismissing the Kyadondo MP’s allegations.

Government mouthpiece Ofwono Opondo in response to Bobi Wine’s news conference, dismissed: “He has been severally examined by UPDF medical staff, by prisons at Lachwo Hospital. None of those records revealed torture. Let alone deep injuries of any kind that warranted referral whether here or abroad.”
Opondo narrated: “And therefore, Mr Kyagulanyi is most probably gallivanting on political publicity stunt in the hope it can help him galvanise sample political space at home.”
The government mouthpiece went on: “It is not unusual for Ugandan emerging political leaders to cry to whites. Bobi Wine is on record back home he wished colonialism was back. Perhaps this is what he is trying to do.”
Opondo added: “You will ask where is he getting the money. May be if it is true there are foreign elements backing him. But this is for intelligence to eventually follow up and get to the bottom. But whether he has foreign backing the Ugandan state is formidable. it can not be shaken. Bobi Wine will crush, he will fizzle.”
