The High Court in Kampala has handed student Brian Isiko lease of life by dismissing conviction and bail granted after being charged with sending love portion to Kabarole District woman Member of Parliament Sylvia Rwabwoogo.
Isiko is a student of YMCA in Kampala who Buganda Road Magistrate court had convicted and sentenced to 2 years and 9 months imprisonment in July this year.
Justice Jane Francis Abodo has ordered for a retrial at Buganda Road Court.
Justice Abodo has ordered the accused at the court, handing him an ultimatum of 48 hours.
Isiko appealed against the Magistrate sentence through Katuntu & Company advocates saying the trial magistrate erred when she changed the appellant’s plea of not guilty to a plea of guilty based on a partial admission.
