PARLIAMENT: Bobi Wine castigated government for not equipping enough security who tried to come to the rescue of several people that perished on Lake Victoria following boat accident.
Templar’s Boat carrying over one hundred revellers to K-Palm Beach in Mukono capsized leaving several fighting for their lives as they approached the beach side.
Parliament debated the circumstances that led to the accident and the consequent deaths that ensued.
On the floor of Parliament, Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi moved the house when he said: “Even when Police and UPDF came to rescue people, they didn’t have enough boats”.
Kyagulanyi went on: “He calls on govt to improve the standards of water vessels and to mitigate accidents.”
