TZ’s sensational star and Diamond Platnumz has been banned from performing in Tanzania.
This is after he defied BASATA orders, a regulatory arts board and performed a song had been banned a just a fortnight ago.
Diamond performed the song ‘Mwanza’ to the thousands of his fans during ‘Wasafi festival’ in the port city of the same name.
According to BASATA, that particular was banned because its lyrics contains Vulgar Swahili words which are not suitable for airplay in the country. And to make matters worse the dance strokes in the video of this song too is considered to be insane by authorities.
The board said that Diamond and Rayvanny, who also features in the song, had also been banned from doing gigs outside the country.
Sources have tipped us that since last night, the singer is shading crocodile tears.
