The Democratic Party-DP bloc has said that it will not apologize to the FDC party.
On Monday, John Kikonyogo, the FDC Deputy Spokesperson asked the leaders of the Bloc to apologize to former FDC President Dr Kizza Besigye for unfairly attacking him.
Last week, members of the DP Bloc, a coalition of the Democratic Party led by Mr Norbert Mao, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), led by Dr Abed Bwanika and Mike Mabike’s Social Democratic Party (SDP), signed a pact that binds them ahead of the 2021 general elections.
The meeting was attended by former FDC President Mugisha Muntu and Kyaddondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, who heads the People Power Movement.
Addressing a press conference at Floral Gardens in Wakiso district on Tuesday, Norbert Mao, the Democratic Party President, said that the DP bloc will not offer an apology.
He says that they are concentrating on a plan to share their vision of new Uganda and open Ugandans to the reality they live in.
Mao also denied throwing insults during the signing of the pact. He said that he has better things to do other than to respond to those attacking him on social media.
Mao said that DP bloc is the only political bloc with a viable plan to liberate Uganda.
Mao also said that DP has plans to hold discussions with other political parties for possible coalition.
