Minister of State for Ethics & Integrity, Father Simon Lokodo has joined the long list of Ugandans giving their take on the pastor ‘Bugingo’ saga.

According to the ethics minister, the saga, which he says has exposed pastor Bugingo as a weak leader to his followers is unacceptable and against the scriptures of the bible.

“A leader has to act as a good example to his followers. He has to provide guidance to his people. But to hear that he is on the verge of separating with a wife whom he has been with for 29 years, it completely jeopardizes his own ministry,” Lokodo said.

Lokodo says he is also planning to meet Bugingo to get his deep insight of the matter.

This comes as Pastor Bugingo yesterday seemed to have broken the apology he made to his family and church when he, on Sunday, regretted washing his dirty linen in public, saying that for the sake of his born and unborn children, he’ll not do or say anything that will hurt them in future.

In the twist of events, the prominent city pastor said there was a plan for him to be ambushed by gunmen , in association with his wife, on Sunday, but the that good lord he serves protected him.

Pr. Bugingo’s family wrangles began late April when he shocked followers that his wife, Teddy Naluswa Bugingo and his elder daughter are in a move to steal church land.

His wife denied the accusation, explaining that her husband has for long tried to wreck their 29-year-old marriage and replacing her with another woman,Susan Makula who happens to be one of his workers.
