The deceased twins of the State Minister for Water Ronald Kibuule are to be buried tomorrow.

The 2 year old twins identified as Roman Kato and Raiding Wasswa drowned in a swimming pool last evening at around 5:30pm at the minister’s home in Mbalala, Mukono.

According to the minister’s Uncle Davis Lukyamuzi, a vigil is to be held at the Kibuule’s home in Mbalala Mukono and will be laid to rest at their ancestral home in Kapeke Village.

Earlier today journalists were denied access to the home where other mourners were gathered with some expressing mixed reaction;

Meanwhile, Police has confirmed the arrest of four domestic workers at home of Kibuule.

Patrick Onyango the police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan area says Nalubwama Scovia, 32, Nankunda Peace, Lawrence Kibaya; a shamba boy and Kumanya Agripa ;a security guard are being held under section 227 of the Penal Code which deals with neglect.

Yesterday, minister Kibuule who is deep shock said the twins had been going to the pool under supervision but their mother was away then and it seems the care takers were reluctant and the kids went to the pool by themselves.”

He however noted that when one kid drowned, the second one could have tried to rescue the brother and both ended up in the deep waters.

It is said that the house maid was busy watching television as the twins escaped on their own to the poolside only to drown from the deep end.

It is so sad how ‘reckless’ the people we trust and leave our children under their can be…Although some members of the public say the parents should have been the first to be arrested over child neglect, Police investigations will however, unravel more details surrounding the tragedy that befell the minister’s family.
