Residents of Mulimira zone, in Kamwokya, Kampala are appealing to police to improve night patrols in their area due to the rampant criminality day in day out.

Speaking to our reporter, the Residents raised a flag over criminal gangs, mainly children aged between 13-16 who break into their houses and rob them almost on a daily basis.

With sadness written all over their faces, they said that they have been left frustrated by the slow response from police .

They further accuse police of repeatedly setting free the suspects in their custody because many of them are always below the age of 18.

The Deputy spokesperson Kampala metropolitan Luke Oweyesigyere , however said defended the release, but condemned the increasing criminality ,adding that police will take stern action.
