Angry residents of Masuulita, Kakiri Division, in Wakiso District, have lynched a suspect for allegedly robbing a passenger One million shillings.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, says the angry residents, mainly boda  boda cyclists,  killed one unidentified man and arrested two suspects identified as Juliet Nakanjako (a resident of Matugga Town Council, in Wakiso District) and Musa Kigongo (a resident of Kasubi, Lubaga Division, in Kampala).
The no-nonsense residents launched a hunt for the suspects after John Kimuli, alerted them that he had been robbed. Kimuli boarded the taxi heading to Bombo , from Matugga taxi stage, but along the way, they told him to move out and they decided to drive back to Matugga to look for more passengers.

When he got out of the taxi, Kimuli realized his money was missing and filed a case at a nearby police station.

Kimuli told police that he found three passengers inside the taxi, the conductor and driver

According to Onyango, when he told residents the particulars of the taxi (registration number UAV 540P) they told him it had taken Masuulita road.

Nearby Boda Boda cyclists joined the hunt for the suspects and arrested two of them before pouncing on the third one who attempted to flee.

Police impounded the taxi registration number UAV 540P and are hunting for two other suspects .
