As the family of the late Kololo based Hickory Bar and Restaurant proprietor Arnold Ainebyona Mugisha continues to come to terms with the death of their son who was shot and killed by a security guard outside a shopping mall in Naalya on Tuesday, his mother has vowed to go down on her knees and pray for justice.
Beatrice Mugisha made the vow yesterday (Wednesday)as family and friends, in a somber mood,eulogized the late Ainebyoona at All Saints Cathedral in Nakasero.
According to Family members and friends, the late business man was a friendly person who treated everyone with respect. His father Plan Mugisha recalled his last moment with Ainebyona;
Reverend Medard Birungi-byayesu who presided over the service, asked the family to forgive the murderer.
Police have since arrested the security guard,Moses Angoria, attached to Saracen Uganda Limited as investigations continue.
Some sources at the scene reportedly say, the trigger-happy guard shot the 26 year old after he broke car lights of another customer who had parked outside the supermarket. Others says the deceased was shot after he refused to stop and sort the damage he has caused and instead wanted to leave.
A WhatsApp Voice note making rounds on social media with a male voice alleges that Mugisha didn’t actually knock another car but instead after shopping, he let the shopping trolley roll and knock another car damaging the lights.
The body of the late Ainebyoona will be laid to rest tomorrow(Friday 12th July), in Ntungamo district.
