Upcoming artists now have a reason to smile as they will no longer have to hustle with expensive studios to produce their music. This, as President Museveni’s recording studio has officially started its work.

According to the chairman of the project, the studio, located near Lubiri Senior secondary school along Masaka road, will be recording for as low as 10,000Ushs, which they believe, will enable upcoming artists that don’t have enough money to start their careers.

Asides from the 10,000 shillings to open a file, all an artist needs is a photocopy of his national Identity card and a pass port size photo;

 

TSF studios, which also boast of a public address system called TSF Sounds that will be used on events, will soon be officially launched by President Museveni.

The president has had a long standing relationship with music, with reports indicating that he used to enjoy Gen. Elly Tumwine’s original compositions in the bush. That aside, the president has always had musicians perform on his campaigns in an effort to sway voters to his side.

He also proved his ability when he recorded his own hit ‘Mpenkoni’ (Another rap) in 2010 leading up to the 2011 general elections.
