MANCHESTER UNITED fans were full of praise for summer signing Daniel James after the Welsh whizkid matched Alexis Sanchez’s Premier League goal tally in just four games.

The ex-Swansea man scored a thunderbolt to open the scoring in United’s clash at Southampton.

Picking up the ball on the right, he cut inside unleashed an unstoppable strike into the top corner.

It was James’ third goal in just four league appearances since his £15million move.

And he has already matched Sanchez’s league record in 28 less appearances.

Sanchez, who completed his loan move to Inter Milan to end his Old Trafford nightmare, needed 32 appearances to score his third goal in the Premier League.

One fan said: “Daniel James is already a better player for Manchester United than Alexis Sanchez ever was for the club.”

Another added: “Daniel James now has the same amount of Premier League goals for us in 3 games as Alexis Sanchez in 18 months.”
