Neymar has edged closer to sealing a sensational return to Barcelona after Ousmane Dembele agreed to be part of an incredible three-player-plus cash deal.
Barcelona have offered Ivan Rakitic, Jean-Clair Todibo and Dembele on a year-long loan plus £120million fee to PSG, but talks appeared to break down after the French forward informed the club he does want to be included in the deal.
Rakitic and Todibo have already agreed to move to the French champions, with reports suggesting PSG had already began editing announcement videos earlier this week for them, but Dembele’s refusal to leave and a few other issues have been holding up negotiations.
However, reports claim that Dembele has had a change of heart and is now willing to be included in the deal for Neymar.
L’Equipe claim a huge breakthrough has been made after the France international was persuaded to join PSG by boss Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel, who knows Dembele well, having signed him from Rennes in 2016 during his time at Borussia Dortmund, has personally convinced him to come to Paris after holding a long discussion with the player.
PSG are interested in Barcelona’s swap deal proposal but rejected their latest approach after Dembele was taken off the table.
Sporting director Leonardo claimed the ‘conditions’ were not suitable for PSG following their 2-0 victory over Metz on Friday.
Leonardo said: ‘Our position on a potential departure of Neymar is clear, everyone knows what we want.
