Police confirm they are making progress in investigations into the brutal murder of NGO boss Maria Nagirinya.

Nagirinya and her driver Ronald Kitayimbwa were kidnapped last week from Lungujja by unknown blood thirsty monsters who later murdered them and dumped their bodies at Nakitutuli Village in Nama sub county in Mukono district.

Joint security force carrying out the investigations Monday morning confirmed at a news conference at the police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala, that they have successfully cornered 10 10 suspects in connection to the double kidnap and subsequent murder of Maria and her driver.

Police mouthpiece, Fred Enanga told the media that three suspects were arrested in the due course of the investigations while the other seven suspects were resisting arrest of one of the suspect.

Enanga said: “Joint security investigation team comprising of Police detectives from Kampala metropolitan police and CMI have taken further steps in these investigations. They have managed to review the CCTV footage which was captured on police cameras which has helped them to identify one of the suspects.”
