The chairperson of committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises Mubarak Munyagwa has vowed to resign if someone tables evidence that shows that he solicited a bribe from any civil servant to save his or Job.
Munyagwa’s lamentations come after pictures were circulated on social media showing him meeting the acting executive director of KCCA, Andrew Kitaka, at a city hotel.
While addressing journalists at Parliament today, without providing tangible evidence, Munyagwa claimed that Moses Atwiine, the embattled head of physical planning at KCCA was behind this scheme.
With red-hot anger, the Kawempe South legislator revealed that mafias want to trap him with money and women to derail his work.
He narrated to journalists how he was approached with a promise of being $50,000 if his committee lets off the hook a senior official of KCCA who is under investigation by COSASE.
Munyagwa also alleged that Atwiine and the then KCCA ED Jennifer Musisi one time sent a girl to his office to seduce him but he was way too smart for them.
According to munyagwa, the girl was sent by Atwiine and Musisi to seduce me. She had removed her knickers and hidden them in the bra. But I had been tipped of the mission and I told her to leave the door open and I called the PA in her presence to stay during the conversation but she had nothing to tell me,” Munyagwa said.
