Police in Kabale is investigating circumstances under which a decomposing dead body was discovered floating on the edge of the Kiruruma River in Kabale District.
The lifeless body of an unidentified woman was found on Tuesday at around 06:00 pm by a security guard at Maziba old dam at Kamirongo cell Birambo parish Maziba s/c Kabale district.
Police at Maziba police post visited the scene and retrieved the floating body from the water.
The deceased who is said to be approximately in her thirties was dressed in a dark blue shirt, in a piece of kitenge greenish and black and a brown blouse.
Her body and hair had peeled off making it hard to establish her true body complexion. Her right foot has six toes.
The body is presently at Kabale referral hospital mortuary and a postmortem was done.
The body is now pending people a visit from people to identify it. Maziba Police is now calling upon anyone that has a missing friend or relative with similar descriptions to rush to the Kabale Referral Hospital Mortuary.
