The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB), has issued new guidelines this year ahead of the primary leaving Examination (PLE).
The executive secretary (UNEB), Daniel Odongo says they have introduced Actual Random numbers which candidates will use alongside their personal numbers.
The random numbers will be unique each of the four subjects. Previously, UNEB used the EMIS (Education Management Information System) numbers.

Odongo says UNEB will this year also remove district names from all examination papers and replace them with codes.
He says these measures have been put in place to evade anxiety on those marking the examination papers. It will also halt favors from particular schools and districts as has been the case in the past.
A total of 695,793 candidates have registered from the 13,475 centers.
PLE is expected to kick off next week on the 4th and 5th of November.
